We decided years ago to separate out those personal injury cases that can be settled out of court in a Pre-Litigation Unit and designated a partner to help clients resolve these cases and receive compensation quickly. This allows one partner, Jeff Wigodsky to concentrate his attention on resolving Car Accident and Premises Liability (slip and fall) cases that need not be litigated. This strategy has worked well for our clients as Jeff literally resolves hundreds of cases every year in a fast and fair manner. The Firm has actively pursued mediation and arbitration when appropriate. When Jeff is unable to resolve the case, it gets transferred to one of the firm’s experienced litigators, a number of whom are past Presidents of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan D.C. and/or recipients of the Association’s “Trial Lawyer of the Year” award.
Catastrophic injuries, such as closed head and brain damage injuries, birth and birth trauma injuries, spinal cord injuries, burns, and serious injuries to children are handled by our Major Case Unit, under the supervision of partner Lee Norwind. These are cases where the victim is likely to need extra care for a long period of time. We take special satisfaction is the awards we secure for children who suffer catastrophic injuries.
